Matthew 9:27-31

27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, "See that no one knows about it." 31 But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.

  1. What is noteworthy about this healing?

  2. Clearly these men wanted their eyesight restored. Even though they never asked, Jesus gave them what they wanted. Does that tell you anything about prayer? Explain.

  3. "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" is the $64,000 question! About what in your own life can you answer “yes”? Is there anything that is still a “no” for you?

  4. How would your spiritual experience change if, like these men, “according to your faith” it was done to you? Explain.

  5. Why would Jesus “sternly warn” them to not talk about him? What would change in your life if Jesus gave you that same warning?

Prayer
