make a difference!
Thank you for caring about people who are outside the church and who are strangers to our area.
Bless Every Home has a New Mover program based on public records. We aim to send a handwritten note (suggested script below) to everyone who has moved here from beyond 100 miles.
Bless Every Home will assign no more than two new movers to trained people each week. This page is set up so you can decide if you want to receive that assignment.
This video explains what we are trying to do with this initiative.
Key thoughts:
1. Use the script below as a guideline. Be real and honest. If they are not on your street it is better to say, for instance, that you “live in the area” rather than that you are “a neighbor.”
2. They may be afraid you know too much about them. Please be sensitive to that.
3. Offer to help. If you can give them your email that would be best. If you are nervous about your email, offer the email of your campus pastor.
4. The QR code on the note directs people to www.newlifenw.com/welcome where they are invited to engage with the church. You may want to look at that page before you send the note.
5. Please scroll down and use the form at the bottom of the page to let us know you’d like to write notes. Thank you!
Script for your note:
Dear ___________,
Welcome to the neighborhood! I live nearby and love it!
It is easy to lose your sense of community and belonging when you uproot and move.
I’m part of New Life Church. I’ve found it to be a great way to stay connected and grounded. We have congregations and several small groups near you. I’m confident you could find a place to belong there, too.
If I can do anything to help you get settled, please email me ___________________.
Have a great day!
