Day of Prayer

Today is our Day of Prayer. Just last night at 7 p.m., the 24 Hour Day of Prayer began. If you weren’t able to make it this time, below is the list of prompts in the prayer room. Take some time today to pray through some of them.

  1. Art Station – Basic art supplies are provided. Draw your prayer and put it on the wall to bless others. Allow other people's creations to prompt prayer.

  2. Attributes of God – Use this prayer guide to pray through the names and attributes of God. Take the corresponding paper home with you to help guide your prayers for the next 30 days.

  3. Gratitude – Write down things that you are grateful for and place them around the room so that others can read them and be encouraged.

  4. Kids’ Space – Devotionals, biblical activity books, and other supplies are provided to help guide our younger guests in their time with the Lord.

  5. Leadership Prayer – Pray for our staff, elders, worship leaders, and ministry leaders. For spiritual growth, wisdom, and unity. Consider leaving notes of encouragement or writing out what you have prayed for them.

  6. Library – There is a selection of books here for you to read, reflect on, or pray from

  7. Memorization – Choose a verse to memorize and use the notecards to write it out and carry it with you.

  8. Missionaries – The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Pray that God will send out workers to further His Kingdom. Pray for our current missionaries.

  9. New Life Members – Use the directory to pray for members of New Life Church. Put a checkmark next to the names of the people you have prayed for.

  10. Oregon City Church Plant – Pray over Oregon City and that God will continue to prepare the way for a church plant.

  11. Our Community – Pray that God will work through our church to reach our community and further the gospel.

  12. Our World – Pray for our world. Write prayer requests for different countries or people around the world on post-its and stick them to the map.

  13. Persecuted Church – Pray for the persecuted church. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness's sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10.

  14. Pocket Verses – Take a verse as an encouragement for yourself or to give to others.

  15. Prayer Crosses – We have a gift for you! Take a cross as a reminder of your time in the prayer room. Use it to remind you of what God did here and to prompt you to continue praying.

  16. Prayer Journal – Write out your prayers; sign your name or leave it anonymous. Consider reading and praying over other peoples’ prayers.

  17. Prayer Requests and Praise – Write prayer requests and praise on a card and clip it to the string. Pray over other peoples’ prayer requests.

  18. Revival Window – The window looks out at the world. Ask God to do reviving work in our community.

  19. Salvation Cards – On a notecard, write down the names of three people who need salvation. Carry the notecard with you as a reminder to pray, or leave it for others to pray for.

  20. Ukraine – Pray for God's hand to be at work, both in Ukraine and Russia.

  21. White Board – Write or draw whatever is on your heart. Or take time to confess your sins and then wipe them away.

  22. Write to Someone – Often, as we are praying, God brings certain people to our attention. Take time to write them an encouraging note, sharing the things you were praying for or the words God placed on your heart for them. Then, give it to them!
