Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life.
Celebrate Recovery is a program for everyone. You may be thinking that recovery is only for those with alcohol or drug problems. This could not be further from the truth. Most of life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups can be addressed through this one ministry, including problems with abuse, anger, codependency, grief, alcohol, drugs, depression, guilt, shame, financial loss, divorce, dysfunctional families, sexual problems, eating disorders, and much more.
When does CR meet?
Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday evening from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at our West Linn Campus, on the basement level directly off of the parking lot.
6:15 p.m. — Dinner
6:45 p.m. — Welcome and Announcements
7:00 p.m. — Worship
7:15 p.m. — Teaching or Testimony
7:45 p.m. — Open Share Small Groups
What Can I Expect?
At 6:45 p.m., our large group meeting begins. During this large group time, we sing a few songs and we hear a story of someone’s recovery journey or teaching on a specific recovery topic. We then break into separate men’s and women’s groups. During these open share groups, each person has the opportunity to share without interruption about their recovery journey for 3-5 minutes. There is no pressure or obligation to share. Everything that is shared during the open share is confidential. We do not talk about who attends CR or what they shared.
Who Leads the Groups
Celebrate Recovery groups are not led by pastors, teachers, professional counselors, or paid experts. Instead, CR groups are facilitated by men and women who are in recovery themselves. They all have a measure of substantial healing from their own struggles and therefore celebrate their own recoveries. As a result, they have a high degree of sensitivity to those in need.
