Matthew 19:13-15

13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, 14 but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." 15 And he laid his hands on them and went away.

  1. Imagine you could ask Jesus to touch and pray for your children. What would you ask him to pray for?

  2. Why would the disciples turn children away from Jesus?

  3. What are ways people hinder children from coming to Jesus today? Might this have anything to do with young adults deconstructing their faith? Explain.

  5. Does your calendar have space for inconvenient people? What could you do to make “kingdom interruptions” more of a priority in your schedule?
